Dublin-born Imelda is fast becoming regarded by fans and critics alike as one of the finest vocalists currently emerging on the UK Jazz and Blues scene.
This versatile singer songwriter began her career as a child performing in various musicals around Ireland. This led to TV work on the prestigious Late, Late Show, plus theatre work at The Olympia, The Gaiety, and The National Concert Hall.
Her popularity as a Jazz and Blues artist led to a lengthy residency at Satchmo’s, Dublin’s premier Jazz Restaurant, as well as touring the country performing at high profile venues and working with artists such as Ritchie Buckley, Mary Stokes, Sean Foy, International Blues Band, and Rolling Stones guitarist, Ronnie Wood.
Since moving to London in 1999, Imelda has supported Kirsty MacColl at The Jazz Café, and R&B legends Nappy Brown and Big Jay McNeely at the UK’s top Swing and Jive Weekender, The Rhythm Riot. |
